Project Overview

Hoosier Machinery Solutions delivered a new Excel 2R63D two ram baler paired with an Excel 4815 infeed conveyor to a recycling facility as a complete turnkey project. As an authorized Excel Baler dealer, HMS handled everything under one roof: supplying the new baler and conveyor, transportation, rigging and unloading, installation, start-up, and training the customer’s employees on proper operation and preventative maintenance.

This was a first-time HMS customer that had outgrown its existing horizontal manual tie baler and was looking for an auto tie solution to increase efficiency. HMS consulted on the mix of materials they were baling and the volumes of each commodity, then designed the new system around their existing footprint. Based on that mix and volume, HMS recommended the Excel 2R63D: a compact-footprint two ram baler with the added throughput of the Accent 470 auto tie system, and the flexibility to switch between commodities that a growing recycler needs.

HMS crews rigged and unloaded the baler and conveyor, set the system in place, wired it up, and performed start-up and training. The entire installation was completed within a 2-day timeline, so the customer was back up and baling without missing a beat.
