Turnkey Refurbished Two Ram Baler System from HMS

Project Overview

In January 2026, Hoosier Machinery Solutions delivered a fully refurbished two ram baler, a Harris HRB Centurion 150, to a regional recycler as a complete turnkey project. HMS sold the machine, performed a full in-house rebuild, then handled every step on site: removing the customer’s old baler, installing the refurbished unit, commissioning and start-up, and operator training. Working within the plant’s existing footprint, the team tied the baler into the customer’s existing infeed conveyor, which kept the installation clean and held down the overall project cost.

This was the third refurbished two ram this recycler has purchased from HMS. The new baler replaces a backup unit that was nearing the end of its service life. The customer first turned to HMS for a refurbished two ram in 2012, and that machine’s reliability is what brought them back.

Because this baler runs as a backup, the priority was staying on budget without sacrificing production. HMS completed its full, in-depth refurbishment on the machine, then reused the existing OEM operator station instead of building a custom HMS operator station with a 12-inch touchscreen. That single decision kept the customer comfortably within budget while preserving the throughput their operation depends on.
